A bit about me.
I began my career as a graphic designer for a mobility and assisted living product company. Understanding our end users there lead us to shoot empowering product shots, design full-color large print instruction manuals, and direct helpful product videos that answered key questions. Working on a small team, managing multiple brands I learned the importance of brand identity and fidelity.
As I continued my professional journey, I moved into the water and wastewater industry. While initially working as creative manager supporting dozens of product lines for offices across several time zones, I pivoted to software design as my team and I incepted a new internal and customer-facing asset management system. What followed was many years of internal struggle, iteration, testing, failures, more iteration, and successes as we carved a place for a small software team within a traditional industrial capital sales company. As the project developed I served as the sole UX/UI designer and for a period of 2 years also as a Product Owner. We embraced a user-first mindset early on which involved spending time speaking with many operators as well as visiting them on site.
